Caving is very me and has profoundly influenced numerous design concepts. This interest has also prompted me to explore merchandise solutions, ultimately leading to the creation of Very Alice.
Caving Rocks
Caving enthusiasts often find themselves engaged in passionate discussions about their experiences underground. A unique and effective way to initiate such conversations is by proudly wearing a customised t-shirt that features the names of cherished expeditions, aspirational trips, or even those deemed less favourable.
Drawing inspiration from festival lineup t-shirts, this concept categorises the selected cave trips as various stages, while the names of the expeditions represent the acts.
Should you wish to create your own, please contact me with your name, that you want a Caving Rocks t-shirt, the number of names you would like to feature, as well as any suggested categories you may have in mind. For instance, you may prefer to highlight all the caves you would not revisit, alongside those you thoroughly enjoyed, or arrange them by characteristics such as WET, TIGHT, or MUDDY.
My CHECC era
All cavers have at least heard of CHECC. The Council of higher education caving clubs is a brilliant organisation that hosts some legendary events every year for student cavers.
I survived a few CHECCs myself and have created t-shirt tatts to represent each event in one place.
Every year I will be making a t-shirt tatt for attendees to collect.
If however you don't think you can survive another CHECC then Very Alice is the place to create your own CHECC era t-shirt.

CHECC has been running since 2002, nearly 25 years of CHECC! (Note that there was no Venue that would take CHECC in 2023 and CHECC was cancelled due to COVID in 2021 and 2020).
So far t-shirt tatts have been created for the year 2009 onwards. Currently under construction are the remaining previous years, watch this space and facebook and instagram for updates.
